How NUmed Tripled Patient Calls on the Same Google Ads Budget
From 228 to 674 patient calls a month with spend unchanged: the three changes we made to NUmed Super Speciality Hospital’s Google…

“How much should we spend?” is the first question every hospital board asks. There is no single number — but there is a sensible way to work it out.
ICU and emergency, surgery, physician OPD, maternity and IVF, and health checks each have different search volumes, costs per click and revenue per patient. A knee-replacement lead can be worth many times a general OPD lead. Budget each department against its own target cost per patient.
Ads start the engine; Google Maps and SEO carry it. In a DigiRaps forecast for a 300-bed hospital, about 80% of OPD visits came from free channels by month six. That is why the first three months often look expensive per patient — and months four to six look much cheaper.
Report calls, OPD visits, admissions and surgeries per source — and remove likely double counts, because one patient may see a reel, search, and call from Maps. We deduct about 15% before quoting totals.
